Be part of Fall 2010 Recruitment!
Recruitment FAQ:
What is Recruitment??
Recruitment
is a period in which rushees (any females who are interested in
the sorority) get to know sisters and vice versa through many
planned activities. This is a chance to meet new people and
participate in the daily functioning and benefits of the
sorority. It is also a great time to ask any questions you, the
recruit, might have about Delta Phi Lambda, sorority life, or
the Greek system.
How much does Recruitment cost me?
Absolutely nothing. All expenses
are paid for by the sorority.
What are the requirements in order
to rush Delta Phi Lambda?
We, at Delta Phi Lambda, welcome
females of all nationalities who share a common goal of
promoting Asian awareness through sisterhood and would love to
have the opportunity to meet, talk, and befriend you.
If I go through
recruitment, do I have to
become an affiliate member?
As a Recruit, you are under no
obligation to become an affiliate member of Delta Phi Lambda. Although we hope you feel
at home with us, we understand that it may not be right for
everyone.
How do I become an affiliate member?
During the recruitment period, you will
be given the opportunity to have an interview with sisters of
Delta Phi Lambda according to your own schedule. You will be
able to sign up for an interview time during the recruitment events.
Recruits
that have gone through the interview process may then be
offered a bid, which
is an invitation to continue the process to become a part of
Delta Phi Lambda after the recruitment period. If one receives a bid,
it is their decision to accept, defer, or decline the bid.
*For those that are seriously intending to join the Delta Phi
Lambda family, an attendance of 2/3 of the recruitment events is
mandatory for consideration.*
